Welcome to Sacramento Montessori School!

At Sacramento Montessori School, we welcome you and your child as integral parts of our educational community. We pride ourselves on inclusiveness and encourage you to share your family and cultural traditions as we reveal our proud heritage, grounded solidly in the precepts and practices of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Our Montessori teachers and co-teachers encourage independence, courtesy, and sensitivity as they respond to the individual needs of your child. Most importantly, our staff is dedicated to providing the safety and security that children need in order to develop self-reliance. Through carefully selected educational and social activities, your child will learn strength and consistency, self-esteem and confidence–unmistakable characteristics of a Montessori-educated child.

The Sacramento Montessori School assumed new ownership on February 14, 2005. The dynamic, emerging vision of the revitalized school community is that it becomes a true Montessori environment—guiding and empowering young minds through the philosophy and methodology of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Sacramento Montessori School serves children ages six weeks to six years through its various programs: Infant/Toddler and Early Childhood Education. Hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We accept predominantly fulltime enrollees. Our School is licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, and we are proudly an active member of the Better Business Bureau.

Our Facility License Numbers are 343610874, Infant/Toddler and 343610792, Early Childhood. We are licensed by the Community Care Licensing Division, River City District Office, of the California Department of Social Services (Telephone 916-263-5744).

Prior to enrollment, Sacramento Montessori School requires a health exam and current immunizations for every child. We are most mindful of maintaining a healthy and safe environment for all our children. Tuition varies depending on the age of each child. Please note that we offer a fully automated tuition-payment method for your convenience. Tuition Express offers you the ease of paperless tuition payments. Please select the Tuition and Fees link in the Menu items to the left for specific tuition information.

Sacramento Montessori School has been selected for the Best Businesses of Sacramento Award 2015 in the Child Care & Day Care category by the Best Businesses of Sacramento Award Program.

Our Mission Statement

"Our mission is to guide all areas of a child's growth and development -- academic, emotional, social, and others -- all the while respecting the child and the family. We strive to actualize our commitment to the philosophy, pedagogy, and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori in our daily work with children. To that end, we are committed to the continuing education of our teachers and staff. We appreciate the involvement of the parents in the school life of their children." About Us »
